UBC Freeride Team is a new initiative of the UBC Ski and Board Club.
Its purpose is to help the serious skiers and snowboarders of UBC Ski and Board
Club progress in their discipline of riding. The team will hook riders up with
others of their similar ability to ride with on the weekends and push one another.
Groups of riders will also ride with a photographer or cinematographer that shoots
at a similar ability to their riding. (Depending on availability of the photographers
/cinematographers. Best riders will have dibs.)
If people want to ride with their friends, that is no problem at all, you can still be
hooked up with a photographer.
There will be a list of all park and big mountain competitions in the Northwest
area for riders to compete in. The best riders' competition fees will be subsidized
by the club. Free gear from our sponsors will be given to the best riders.
Boy, girls, snowboarders, skiers park and big mountain riders are all welcome
to join. Snowbladers are not welcome.
Footage and photographs can be used for your own sponsorship videos upon
request from the photographers.
